The seed catalogs are coming in and we are beginning to plan for the 2016 season. I updated the “What’s in a CSA box?” page to include some cool pictures I took last summer of many of the CSA boxes. A good visual feel in deciding what size box might be good for your family. I hope to update the membership form later this week to officially open up the 2016 CSA season. Thanks to all who have supported us in the past and please feel free to give us a good word to your friends and neighbors. We would love, love to increase our CSA numbers with the goal of cutting back on a farmers market in the future.
Some recent soil tests have shown that our oldest hoop houses #1 and #2 to have serious soil imbalances so we decided to remove the plastic today to allow some leaching to occur this winter and let mother nature do her magic on this tired old soil. We also removed the top layer of soil and plan to add some compost in the spring. Keep your fingers crossed that they will be up and running by spring.
Here are some pics from this winter day. You can follow me on Instagram for more pictures. Just look on the right side of this page. Thank you!
