The heavens lined up in just the right way and with no time to even think twice about it, me and the kids (while Richard tended the farm, crew and animals) dashed off to Northern Mi for a little get away. It had been way too long since we saw the shores of Lake Michigan, ran on the beach and had a quick visit with family and friends. After wholesale deliveries on Monday we headed west and didn’t stop until we hit the lake at Magoon Creek Natural area in Manistee then off to see my sister in Bretheran, over to Sleeping Bear Dunes for the day and a quick visit to my best college bud Shane in Suttons Bay. What fun we had.

This is a beautiful roadside turnout that had breath taking views of the Lake. We lingered here awhile.
After too long in the car we finally make it to Lake Michigan. This is at Magoon Creek Nature Area which is right on the Lake.
The water was pretty cold but the sun was still warm at 6:00pm
We had a lovely stay at the beautiful home in Bretheran
She has the cutiest puppy. It took all my will power not to tuck her under my shirt and take her home with us.
