I know this is getting to be a broken record but we continue to have too much stinking rain. Another inch on Sunday morning, and between Monday and today over another inch. Have I mentioned our drainage issues lately? The only thing we have to be grateful for in all this rain is that it hasn’t come all at once but we continue to be saturated on the farm…no workers since last Thursday and I don’t know when we will be able to get in the fields. Needless to say all of my laundry is caught up ,I’ve been reading a great farm memoir this week, my house is clean and Richard has been working on a kitchen building project. Unheard of in July!!! I’m beginning to worry about fungus and rot issues.
I printed up and matted some photos and they will be for sale at the markets this weekend. I have copies of the baby birds that a few folks have been asking about and some other fun farm/ veggie/ flower shots and a tiny toy shot. Let’s all hope for some dry weather for the next few days. Here is what it looks like on the farm tonight:
Love the picture of the long row of snapdragons.
I’ve been playing/working on the song “Listen to the Rhythm of the Falling Rain” and have thought of you! Such a lovely melody…
Rain, rain go away please come back another day…….
