Owosso Organics is on Facebook!

Went to the Michigan Organic Food and Farm conference on Saturday. Lots of great information. Keynote speaker was Mark Kastel co-founder of the Cornucopia Institute, a farm policy research group based in Wisconsin. I refer to them as watch dogs for Organic farmers, keeping the pretend organic farmers in check. He heads the Organic Integrity project. What’s not to love about this guy? There were also some good workshops on marketing your farm and CSA. Which brings me to the heart of this blog.

 OWOSSO ORGANICS IS ON FACEBOOK!!!

Can you believe it? How modern is that? (Hey…check me out on facebook.)  I have yet to figure out how to link the website and facebook but some upcoming rainy day Ill figure that out. I still plan to do regular blogs on the website and also some posts on facebook.

We’ve been planting in  the nursery greenhouse all week: kale, chard, lettuce, onions, greenhouse tomatoes, early peppers, long season flowers, lots of plants for pack sales. These sunny days and we are in our shorts in the greenhouse. Thanks to all who have sent in your CSA forms. It really helps with our start up costs.
