June on the farm

It’s been pretty whirlwind around here as we continue to benefit from this picture perfect spring. We finished our #4 distribution of CSA last Monday June11 and now we have two weeks off (June 18 and June 25) to let the summer crops catch up. See everyone on Monday July 2. Here are some recent pics of the farm.

planting up on the hill

With most of the fields around the farm planted we move up to the hill and its 600′ rows…yikes!

JD 2020

Richard and the John Deere 2020 do most of the filed prep up on the hill.

Farm dog Ranger

He is so big… a teenager dog. Still a mix of puppy and adult. He loves to get it the way!

Storm is coming

We really need the rain. We got some today !!!

Radish at the market

The radishes were a huge hit both in CSA boxes and at the market. We will plant them again but not until the fall as they don’t like the summer heat.

Fathers Day

It was so dry and storms kept passing us by. We went and watered the tomatoes, peppers and winter squash on the hill.

Taylor on the hill

Taylor with Mr. Bill helping us water.

Summer time play

I love this kind of play…..

Summer time play #2

Hope everyone is enjoying their summer as much as these two!
