We finally have dried out enough to get some planting done in the outside fields. Yeah!!! Today we planted about 700 lettuce plants in the hill garden (next to hoophouse #3) and a triple row of spinach and beets. First thing this morning we set Hoophouse #5 for eggplant (plants still too small to plant but the house is all set, drip tape and plastic laid ect..) did a little transplanting, re-planted the lisianthus and other flowers and weeded the spinach and beets in #4. Whew!! Tomorrow should be another big planting day. Peas….more beets….maybe some early beans. It is a very good kind of tired I feel right now.
We are back at the Meridian Farmers Market. Last Saturday was the first market. This week we will have a full array of plants, some lisianthus and some herbs. Come see us and say hello.
Still time to sign up for our CSA. Membership form right here on the website. Thanks everyone.
