Early July on the Farm

Please excuse my absence from these pages. The farm has been pretty demanding but I wanted to catch everyone up on whats been happening around here.

We just finished CSA distribution week #6 and are beginning to segue into summer crops as the heat from the last few weeks have brought many of the spring crops to an end. This weeks boxes found the first of the summer squash, cabbage, basil, fresh garlic, spinach and Growers Choice salad mix. Thank you to all our fantastic CSA members! Flower shares will begin soon, either this week or next. Can you still join Owosso Organics CSA? Yes you can! Copy the membership form found here at the website and prorate your membership cost reflecting the 6 weeks you have missed. Mail it to the farm with your check.  Flower shares are yet to begin so they are still at $100.

We have been working tirelessly to keep up with the weeds and the farm looks fantastic right now so we called our friend Scott Allmen at Clearwater Media and he brought his drone and took some beautiful images of the farm. Look for that on the website soon.

We are in full swing at the Farmers Market. Saturdays we are at The Meridian Farmers Market from 8:00-2:00 and Sunday at The East Lansing Farmers Market from 10:00-2:00. Come see us!

The lisianthus are only a couple weeks away and the flower garden is really starting to show. We will have loads of flower bouquets at the markets in the coming weeks.

Be sure to follow us on Facebook (Owosso Organics) and on instagram link on the right side of the page.

Here are some images from the last few weeks. Enjoy!!
