Early August

The lisianthus are blooming like crazy; (and zinnias and sunflowers and all the other filler flowers) tomatoes, beans, cucumbers… everything is growing fast around here. We had a lovely rain Wednesday where it drizzled all day. The temps have been on the cool side which slows down the tomato ripening but is great weather to work in. (oops…ended that sentence with a preposition) The garlic is 95% harvested and drying nicely in the Quonset greenhouse. CSA members received  a cute little bag of garlic in their boxes.

My brother pointed out that there weren’t many pics of me on the blog so I asked Tay to take a few today. My fav is the one of me looking in the mirror  with my camera (which my kids say is too dramatic!) I’m trying to show restraint when it come to flower pics on the blog, especially lisianthus but I just can’t get enough of them. For today…garlic and other things I saw including a new bedroom set for Taylor.SONY DSC

  1. Tay tay luv the new bedroom set. You’re right, a little drama. Looks like she is looking for a clue in a murder mystery story. I know its Nancy Drew……
