Cool Down in October

We knew it would come; though we haven’t had a frost yet the days certainly have gotten colder this week. We got a little bit of garlic planted the beginning of the week and realized we sold/ distributed too much hard neck garlic this year so we did a mad search for certified organic hard garlic and were able to get some in upstate New York. Should be here sometime next week. Until then we will proceed with the soft neck garlic planting and the major task of cleaning up the fields and planting cover crop where we can. Two more weeks of both farmers market. It will be cold this weekend but we will have loads of produce. Come see us. We now have three different kinds of hot sauce available at the markets and…..we sample!praying mantis in a bowl
