Closing out July

Today was week #10 for our CSA and we were very happy with the boxes. This summer continues to be a great one for farmers despite the quirky rains and cool temperatures. Many folks are asking “when will you have  tomatoes  at the market?” The CSA boxes got the first small blush of cherry tomatoes today and we hope to have some at the market in the next week or two. Next weekend August 2 and 3 we will have loads of lisianthus at the markets ( I mean LOADS)  as well as beans, potatoes, cabbage, garlic, kale, baby eggplant, zucchini and tons of other veggies I know I’m forgetting.

I took Taylor to summer camp in Northern Michigan last Sunday and brought my camera. Here is what I saw along with some favorites from the week.round bale field in N Mich
