Things dried up enough for a good work day today. Some inside greenhouse clean up, cultivation in a greenhouse or two, trained the melons to vine on the support in greenhouse #3, loads of tomato tying, harvest flowers and lots of cultivation in the field of dreams (leeks) and the South hoophouse garden (cabbage, broccoli and kale). We will do CSA on Monday July 15. I will e-mail everyone with a reminder.
We have been working on the kitchen (here and there) for most of the spring and summer, still not done but I plan a big blog reveal when we are. Until then, here is my new jar shelf (just outside the kitchen door) that Richard built this past rainy week. I really love it. One place for all my dry goods. It reminds me of my first job at Small Planet Restaurant back in the late 70’s where I worked as a baker.
